145 Biltmore Condo Guide

The 7-story building houses 34 1-3-bedroom luxurious units and 4 penthouses. It’s perched on one of Downtown Asheville’s most walkable areas for effortless indulgence in the City’s vast art and food culture. The 77,803-square-foot mid-rise building is two blocks from Buxton Hall, Burial Breweries, and Vortex Doughnuts (my favorite). The building is family-friendly, as evidenced by ample sidewalks, and what’s more, Claxton Elementary School is only five minutes’ drive away.

Bespoke Luxury

The residential-only multi-story building has 4 penthouses, one live/work unit, and 34 luxury residencies. Each unit comes with 1 deeded, secure, off-street parking space and storage unit. One-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans occupy 772 to 1753 square feet. The units are going for $500,000 up to 1,350,000. On the seventh floor are custom-designed penthouses for bespoke luxury.

Architectural Marvel

145 Biltmore invites you to go back in time and experience Asheville’s architectural heritage. The building follows modern architecture standards, with a classical touch. As you enter the lobby, you will see black tiles with mosaic patterns, evoking feelings of the city’s 1920s art deco aesthetics. The remarkable design and finish, which incorporate some impressive sustainability elements, was to be expected given the designer’s reputation for thoughtful concepts. MHAworks Architecture’s Peter Alberice, who is also one of the brains behind 45 Asheland Avenue, designed the building.

Living Spaces

From the moment you step out of the elevator and into the living, everything about the condos from a mix of contemporary and modern finishes, to the roomy living spaces, represents an escape from the high energy CBD. The hardwood, tiled flooring and granite countertops provide the perfect contrast against the classic white and grey walls.

The living spaces have large windows for uninterrupted panoramic views. Combine this with the ‘transterior’ designs, and you are sure to enjoy the outdoor environment without ever stepping foot outside. The condos have ample doorways for seamless transition between the rooms, which are tastefully finished with natural materials and textures to give the modern interiors a homely feel.

Near Downtown Businesses

145 Biltmore is located steps away from the Central Business District, giving you hassle-free access to many eateries, bars and breweries, and specialty stores. Asheville’s weekly open-air market is nearby for farm-fresh groceries at unbeatable prices and convenience.

Long Term Rentals and Pets

Per the HOA the 3rd floor allows STRs (stays of less than 30 days). The city, however, restricts this building to 8 units used as STR. Therefore, not all units on this floor are STR permitted. If the city ever changes their rules STRs would be allowed in more than 8 units.

Planning to visit Asheville for a staycation? A few condos are listed on Airbnb. Come be part of Asheville’s amazing history, if only for a weekend.

  • Pets are allowed
  • Reasonable HOA fees
Luxury Amenities

145 Biltmore is one of the most pricey upscale condo buildings in Asheville-and rightly so. The sufficiently spacious balconies afford you a scenic view of the Asheville skyline, not to mention the breath-taking Asheville sunset-and never another lawn to mow.

Other amenities include:

  •           Luxury bathrooms featuring roomy showers and optional heated floors
  •           Soundproofed floors
  •           9-10-foot high ceilings in living area spaces
  •           Indoor and outdoor gas fireplaces and fire pits
  •           Additional parking space, at a cost
  •           Private outdoor living spaces
Nearby Businesses

The building is sandwiched between Biltmore Avenue and S Lexington Avenue. And speaking of sandwich, just a 5-minute walk away at 161 Biltmore Avenue is Wild Wing Cafe, where you can have a great brunch sandwich. A 12-minute walk on the area’s sidewalks will land you in Downtown Asheville, which comes to life afterhours with impromptu street performances, public art. Also close to the building are Charlotte Street’s iconic breweries, liquor stores, restaurants, bistros, and coffee shops easily accessible.
