Aston Condos Guide

This well-preserved traditional building blends in silently on a remarkably quiet, leafy side street among Asheville’s historic churches. The Aston boasts a sizeable, beautifully landscaped grassy exterior found only in a handful of downtown condos. The complex also offers an impressive collection of community and in-unit amenities that wonderfully redefine luxury in-city living. These include original hardwood maple floors, a scenic rooftop deck, and private covered balconies overlooking endless views of the cityscape and the mighty western mountains.

The units are clean, carefully maintained, and equipped with the latest high-end appliances to complement the building’s classical exterior outlook. Interestingly, this ancient paradise is fairly priced compared to similar downtown condos. The average pricing is about $518 per square foot. There’s top-notch management too, with monthly HOA fees going for up to $545.

Some of the Aston’s key features are as listed below:

Mid Rise Condo Building

The Aston lives large as a mid-rise development. Housed on four floors are 17 units. The majority of these are 14 two-bedroom condos, fully renovated with luxury amenities.

Historic Building

Constructed in 1928 by Gilliland Stikeleather, the Aston is one of Downtown Asheville’s premier condo residences.

Traditional Architecture

Presently, The Aston stands out as an artful revitalization of an old development project. Refurbished exterior brickwork, historical molding, and trim insulated historically-accurate windows are some of the features that strike the eye

Building Construction

The Aston’s 12 units have remarkably huge living spaces that are fit for thrilling guests and relaxing. The living spaces also feature open floor plans, mostly with immaculate 2-bedroom/2-bath setups. The floor plans are within the range of 1275 to 2300 square feet. Tray ceilings and large windows are just the icings on the cake, perfectly embellishing The Aston’s interiors. The vast windows allow residents to marvel at the rich green space outside, the stunning cityscape view, and the beautiful skyline, besides letting in plenty of natural light.

Culture and Art

A wonderful mix of colorful event venues, entertainment joints, and art galleries can be found within walking distance of The Aston. Notable mentions include the Blue Spiral 1, Lexington Glassworks, and Asheville Art Museum, all within strolling distance.

Near Downtown Businesses

The Aston’s prime location places it right at the heart of the thriving downtown scene. Residents don’t need to travel far to access a wide array of acclaimed restaurants and hotels, renowned taverns and bars, elegant boutiques and stores, and much more. Some of the nearby restaurants include the iconic Kimpton Hotel Arras just 0.3 miles away, a mere 5-minute walk via Church Street and Patton Avenue, and the Foundry Aloft Asheville. The Aston’s residents can also choose from countless bars and microbreweries.  Packs Tavern, Asheville Brewing Company, Foggy Mountain Brew Pub, Wicked Weed Brewing Pub, and Bhramari Brewing Company are among the handful of incredible benchmarks.
